MRK GROUP LTD Celebrates Receipt of WBE Minority Business Status On Earth Day '08
MRK GROUP LTD celebrates the week of Earth Day '08 with a collection event
and the receipt of our Women Owned Business Entity status. (PRWEB) April 24, 2008
MRK started the work week with a bang as our President, Marilyn V. Ruffolo
was awarded WBE (women owned business entity) certification from Cook County, IL
on Earth Day '08. For those of you who don't know, WBE status is awarded to a
business concern that has gone through a rigorous and stringent certification
process to confirm the business is owned, managed, and controlled by a woman or
women.
To celebrate MRK GROUP LTD hosted a Saturday Recycling event at Mac Specialist
in Villa Park, IL. The estimated collection amount was about 30,000 pounds of
E-waste collected. MRK is also proud to offer no cost computer recycling services
in honor of Earth Day for the business week spanning 4/23/08 to 4/30/08. This
service is available to both individuals and businesses alike. In order to take
advantage of this opportunity all you need to do is drop off your equipment anytime
during our regular business hours (9:00 am to 5:00pm).
Free pick up is also available for anyone with more the 50 items within a 50 miles
radius of our facility located at 801C N State St, Elgin, Il 60123. All equipment
taken in during this celebration will be handled in the same safe, compliant manner
that MRK GROUP LTD has been providing to their customers for the last 17 years.

and Economic Development. Illinois Recycling Grant awarded to MRK GROUP LTD.
Elgin, IL, May 18, 2005:
The MRK GROUP LTD was the recent recipient of an Illinois Recycling Grant. This
recycling grant is administered by the Illinois Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and come as a part of Opportunity Returns,
Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich's pro-active, regional economic development strategy
designed to create jobs and spur growth in
Northeast Illinois. MRK is planning on
using the Grant to further expand its computer recycling and shredding capabilities
at their facility in
Elgin.
MRK has been providing cost effective computer recycling services to a variety
of businesses, governments and corporations locally and nationally for the last
14 years. We are hoping this expansion of recycling capabilities will allow us to
keep the cost of recycling affordable to our customers both current and future.
On the last Friday of every month end users may drop off any older computer
equipment they would like to have recycled responsibly at no charge. There is
a 10 item limit per customer. Businesses who are looking to recycle or have
