“FREE COMPUTER RECYCLING OFFER FOR 2009”
There has never been a better time to get rid of those old computers
that have been accumulating in your classrooms and storage rooms.
Now is the time to clean up!
For a limited time, MRK GROUP LTD. will dispose of your old computers
from any manufacturer, along with any associated peripherals, at no
cost to you. (Starting in January of 2010 there will be a charge of
$10.00 per monitor or TV for recycling.)There is
no purchase required to participate in the program
and all accredited K-12 and Higher Education institutions with at least
25 systems (computer and monitor)to recycle are eligible! There is no
limit to the number of systems you can recycle.
While MRK GROUP LTD. will be recycling your electronics at no charge,
(until January of 2010) school located outside of 100 mile radius of our
Elgin, IL location, may incur additional logistics charges.
Your Data is Secure when you dispose of your end-of-life assets through
MRK GROUP LTD. Illinois School Recycling “Free Offer”, you have peace of
mind knowing that MRK GROUP LTD. complies with all Federal, State and local
environmental laws. You can also rest easy knowing that all asset tags or
other identifying marks are completely removed and that all hard drives
are wiped or shredded to ensure your data is gone!
The Process
To take advantage of this limited time opportunity, just follow these
simple steps:
There is a minimum of 25 systems to be recycled in order to participate.
To register for the program, you may either:
Go to our website and click on School Recycling Illinois. Fill out the online
form. You will be contacted by an MRK GROUP LTD. representative within
3 business days to coordinate the pick up.
Call 1-800-972-1003.
Shrink wrap the items to be recycled on one or more standard wooden
shipping pallets. Make the pallets available for pick up at an accessible
first floor location at the mutually agreed upon date and time.
(If pallets or dock not available, place all equipment on first floor location.)
That's all there is to it! You will receive a certificate of recycling for each
lot that is collected.

Eligibility and qualifications
Free recycling is available for eligible institutions having 25
or more computersystems (computer and monitor) to recycle.MRK GROUP LTD.
will accept computers, monitors, and peripherals from any manufacturer, except
products contaminated or suspected of being contaminated with chemicals, biological
agents, or other substances not integral to the original new equipment or
otherwise associated with normal office or household environments.
MRK GROUP LTD. will not accept hazardous waste or batteries that are not an
integral part of the system being recycled, CRTs that have been removed from
their cases, or CRTs that are cracked or broken. Qualified Customers should call
1-800-972-1003 to register for the program. Institutions must pack the computer
systems on pallets and shrink-wrap for pick up at accessible first floor locations.
Institutions must provide their own pallets and shrink-wrap. MRK GROUP LTD.
will contact approved registrants to coordinate the shipment of the products
to be recycled. MRK GROUP LTD. will provide* all transportation of the products
from the institution’s facilities at no cost to the institution*, provided the packaging
and location of the systems are as required by these terms and conditions. Public
Institutions must comply with all applicable provisions of law governing the disposal of
public assets.
*Schools or Universities within a 100 mile radius of Elgin, IL are eligible for a no charge
pickup and processing providing all the requirements are met, until January of 2010. Outside
of that distance there will be a logistics fee of $ .25/lb (100 to 200 mile range) and $ .35/lb
200-400 mile range) payable by the schools. Just call to schedule. Schools may
provide their own delivery to MRK GROUP LTD. at no charge. Call to schedule a
pickup or delivery appointment.
Notice regarding data
MRK GROUP LTD. is not responsible for the loss or confidentiality of data on recycled
equipment. Before shipping equipment, Institutions should:
- Delete data on the hard-disk drives and any other storage devices.
- Back up or transfer any data prior to deletion.
- Remove any removable media, such as diskettes, CDs, or tapes.
Once an institution ships products for recycling, MRK GROUP LTD. cannot return
them to the sender.Participation in this program constitutes a relinquishment
of all rights to and in the hardware and other computer materials sent to
MRK GROUP LTD..
Limitation of liability
MRK GROUP LTD. provides this service as an accommodation and accepts no
liability to any person for any services performed in connection with the recycling
offered in these terms. MRK GROUP LTD. specifically disclaims liability for lost
profits, loss of business or other consequential, special, indirect, or punitive
damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. MRK GROUP LTD.
is not responsible for any printing errors. MRK GROUP LTD. reserves the right
to change, without notice, the Terms and Conditions or end or modify the offer
at any time.
